The bitter orange tree is native to the Far East but has become well adapted in the Mediterranean regions, as well as in California, Florida and South America. It is an evergreen tree with glossy oval leaves and highly fragrant white flowers. It grows to about 30 feet in height. Derived from the bitter orange tree, which has a long history of use in traditional health practices.
